What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy uses a “hands on” approach to musculoskeletal pain and movement, with the goal achieving effective movement throughout the body. Treatment is able to relieve or ease many painful conditions.
Who can benefit from osteopathic treatment?
Osteopathy is useful to people of all ages, from babies and children to the elderly. Osteopathic treatment can also be very useful during pregnancy.
What makes osteopathy different?
Everyone’s body has a different set of experiences, from accidents, sickness, and pain, to strength associated with different sports and occupations. Osteopaths take time to understand the environment in which your body must function.
This helps them develop an understanding of why your symptoms have developed. This information is then used to form the basis of a unique treatment plan that will be the most effective for your needs.
What does the treatment involve?
Osteopathic treatment involves work with muscles, joints and connective tissue structures through stretching, gentle movement and manipulation.
